What started as a small operation driven by word-of-mouth referrals has grown into a trusted 10-person team with over a decade of experience delivering projects of every size. From our base on Abbeydale Road in Nether Edge, we’ve built lasting relationships with clients across the region – many of whom return to us again and again as their property needs evolve.

Sofia Mohammed - Director
Sofia brings a sharp eye for detail and a client-first approach to every project Designed to Build takes on. With a background in project management and a passion for transforming properties, Sofia oversees operations and ensures every client receives the personal attention they deserve. Her ability to translate a homeowner’s vision into a practical, buildable plan is at the heart of what makes Designed to Build different.
Zubair Mohammed - Director
Zubair is the hands-on force behind Designed to Build’s on-site operations. With extensive experience in structural work, loft conversions, and steel beam installations, Zubair leads the team on the ground – ensuring every project meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and Building Regulations compliance. His technical expertise and problem-solving ability have been instrumental in the company’s growth over the past decade.
